I'm home. I have my husband and children all under the same roof. Therefore I am home.
The drive into California was bitter sweet. The landscape as you can see is very desert-like. Very brown and very dry. I have to admit...I was a little depressed rolling into my home state. I am a tree girl, meaning I love the lush landscape of New England. I miss my wooded beautiful backyard and my friends. I miss my extra long driveway and my beautiful house that sits way back from the street, so stately looking.
But all of that does not compare to the warm embrace from my husband and kids.
I am so happy to be with my parents and sisters, nieces, nephews, etc.
My new adventure starts today as we live with my parents until Ted gets a job. I don't know how long it will be but I am full of gratitude for my parents for opening up their home to me and my family and my two huge dogs and all the paraphernalia that comes along with us.
I am home where ever i am because I decided a long time ago that we can be happy anywhere as long as we're together. it's an attitude I try to live by, one I try to impose on my kids, one they have embraced. We are home
