This Summer we have had nothing but rain. It rained almost the entire month of June. I love the rain but after 5 weeks of it I was ready for some sunshine. Yesterday was one of the first really beautiful sunny days. Perfect skies, perfect temps, warm sun etc. I have a ton of blackberry bushes in the woods behind my house. I have waited all Summer for them to ripen since we are moving I was hoping I could enjoy them for a short while before I left the state. Since we have had a couple of weeks of sunshine, I saw berries ripening, turning plump and shiny black. Yum!! I got my container and went out back to harvest my beautiful fruit. This is all I got :(
I sure hope the new owners appreciate the beautiful berries right behind their beautiful new house.

were you wearing your ballroom shoes when you picked these?? you still take beautiful pictures! And at least the sun is trying to make up to you before you go.
